First time staying here. Clean room, nice accommodations. Telephone does not work (tried calling front desk for help), was told they're working on it and to use my cell phone (legally must have working land line). TV also does not work, also working on it.
I had my wedding at The Tabby Place on 10/28/17. Ellen was amazing with all of her help leading up to the week of our wedding. Unfortunately she was on personal leave for our wedding and another employee took over. Thank you for making our day run smoothly. 4/5 stars for the venue being dirty from a previous wedding the weekend before when we were told we could come set up the day before the wedding. I rented the luxury king room for the wedding getting ready photos and for our wedding night. The room was amazing, clean, very nice and exceeded my expectations. Thank you for making our wedding day possible.
This is a gorgeous property, extremely charming grounds and historic cottages, balconies and porches to sit and relax. The room/suite was exceptional quality and grace!!! The location is right in the historic downtown, stroll along the water or check out the quaint shops and restaurants all within a block. The inn keep Mills was the most charming, helpful and gracious lady I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Mills went out of her way to smooth out the issues caused by online booking with such grace and poise I will be forever grateful! !! The manager Kate was also very helpful and kind she took excellent care of us. We will definitely be back very soon!!! If you're staying in Beaufort do yourself a favor and make it a lovely memory by staying here!!
Our room was small (studio size), but super comfortable and "homey" with a redolent scent of Jasmine in the air and a bathroom big enough for two. The location is literally steps away from Bay street, so not having to worry about transportation is a big plus. No on-site breakfast, but we were given vouchers for local businesses (breakfast, bagels and coffee). Employees here were warm and inviting. We'll definitely return on our next Beaufort vacation :)
Cute place. After a mix up with another Inn, we were put up here. Location is great, the rooms are cute. The reason for a 2 star instead of 5: When checking out I was asked if I was to be billed of the referring Inn was to be. I wasn't informed of either so I assumed I was to be billed and told them to charge me (since I received a cancellation confirmation from the other Inn). I go about my week as normal to discover I was not only charged by Beaufort Inn, but also the referring Inn. I called both places to understand why and apparently Beaufort Inn STILL sent a bill to the other Inn for my stay EVEN THOUGH I paid for the room already. After waiting 3-4 hours to be called back, Beaufort Inn called and told me the other Inn would refund me the amount. This has yet to happen and I am led to believe Beaufort Inn simply lied to me to "silence me". Most likely won't stay here again if they continue to practice shady business practices by billing the customer and then the referring Inn for double the money.
