Is it normal for the staff to not wear gloves while preparing the gelato. The older man used his bare hands to put a cookie and cone on my daughters gelato. I threw away the cookie and cone because I didn’t want her to eat them. So half of my money was wasted, not to mention that’s disgusting.
I'm sorry to say this but I can only give this place 3 out of 5 stars. It is not because of the food or location all that is great. It is the price hike that has drop it down. I am on a limited budget so my money is tight. But I do treat myself once in awhile. Now it looks like it is only going to be a mug of coffee. Do not get me wrong this is a great place, this is not Hilton Head so why do we now have tourist prices.
Good servers. Good drinks. Great Gelato. Decent prices. Nice environment. Right in the water.
They claim on their website to have updated the kitchen in 2006 so they could have house made food ready on demand whenever but their Baker is never there so unless you order a sandwich from my experience it’s a 1 in 5 shot at getting something you really want :/. On the upside when you can get it it’s good and some of the only reasonably priced food in town. But like I said it’s only happened one out of the 5 times I’ve been there in the last 3 weeks which is very disappointing.
Great for a morning coffee, quick bite for lunch, or to satisfy your sweet tooth! When the weather is nice, I enjoy sitting out on the patio with my dogs and sipping on a German chocolate mocha while I study. The beautiful waterfront views aren't too bad either!
